SEALAND DIESEL Pvt. Ltd.
Our Profile

From providing Infant Care to Total Support in responding to demanding customers gives us the confidence at Sealand Diesel, to deliver results that delight our customers.

growing to serve.
For more than 3 decades of Customer Care, we have grown from our headquarters in Rajkot to 5 branch offices covering 8 districts of Gujarat with a team of 85 people caring for over 2000 Cummins engines.

caring for the community through responsible citizenship.
Since our inception, we have strongly believed in relationships beyond business.

We actively participate in any worthwhile activity that contributes to our continual unity. Over a 1000 saplings we helped plant are today making for a cleaner, greener city. We organize youth activities, and are involved in Medicare support, a part of which we provide medicines, clothes, and blankets to the needy. We also extend financial support for surgery and hospitalization for deserving patients. We serve our society with our professional skills, such as providing free maintenance and service to Cummins products installed at Temples and Hospitals. At Sisters of Charity - Rajkot and Gandhinagar, we handled and supervised the installation of bore-wells to ensure round the year water supply to the residents.

It is especially at times of crises that we stand by our community. Both during Morbi floods in 1978 and the cyclone at Jamnagar and Kutch in June 1998, we pressed into service every person in the Sealand family, every resource at our disposal to care for infants, provide transport and restore essential services like water supply and electricity, to do whatever we could to help our customers and the people of Gujarat.

We do this and we will continue to do more, because we feel deeply grateful to the community in which we live and work. It is smiles on the faces of customers, and continued support that we receive from Cummins that gives us the strength to serve.

sealand service forever.
We are proud to be a part of the Cummins family, a company that has always brought the best in engine technology to its customers the world over. As part of the Cummins family, we are committed to "Customers for Life,"

Our endeavor is in line with the vision to implement the goals and the philosophy of Cummins

great things have small beginnings
Sealand Diesel Pvt. Ltd Rajkot was set up on 1st June 1973 with a mission to provide world class Cummins products and service to diesel, dual fuel & gas engine users in this part of the country.

service before sales.
In the 70's in Gujarat, Cummins engine users often comprised individual fishermen looking for reliable engines for their fishing boats, but not knowing where to look or what to do. We at Sealand Diesel helped find financial institutions willing to finance the purchase of engines for such individual customers, helped customers process the entire paperwork for loans and subsidies, offered technical advice and training, and at times even providing financial support for margin monies. At a time where little help was forthcoming we, by walking not one but many extra miles for our customers, provided solutions and service not just after, but before sales.

Our customers richly rewarded our efforts by giving us the lion's share in a previously neglected market

Over the years, our customers have come to include giants of Indian Industry such as Reliance, Larsen & Turbo, Gujarat Ambuja Cement, Indian Oil Corporation and the Kandla Port Trust. But our relationship with them is guided by the same values we started with: Cultivating Customers for Life. We feel as proud of having helped giants of Indian industry as serving our small customers grow to become corporate entities

Today, throughout the region, Cummins India Limited and Sealand Diesel are synonymous with Quality, Care and Customer Confidence.

the seal of approval.
Sealand Diesel won the approval of the Government of Gujarat in 1976 for Cummins engines being recognized as preferred equipment on long range fishing trawlers. This was followed by yet another feather in our cap in 1980, when the Central Government's Fisheries & Agricultural Ministries approved and recognized Cummins engines.

meeting challenges, delivering delight.
We at Sealand Diesel continuously identify and respond to newer and ever-changing customer needs.

In 1975, we supplied Cummins engines to Digvijay Cements for their dredgers, barges, and unique industrial marine applications and also re-powered all their existing imported engines with Cummins.

Sealand Diesel supplied engines for the first indigenously built 30 Ton Bollard Pull Tug of Kandla Port Trust. The performance of these two KV-l2 engines surpassed all customers' expectations so well that these engines were also demanded by other marine establishments like Gujarat Maritime Board and Calcutta Port Trust.

In 1992, K6 engines were introduced in the deep underwater drilling rigs for the first time. Around 200 of these engines were operating in and around Rajkot. A complete value package was provided to small individual rig owners throughout the franchise, thus contributing to instill confidence in the Cummins product. The success of our support has resulted in prosperity of our customers today.

In 1994, Sealand Diesel supplied 8 X 1500 rpm main propulsion engines and 12 110 KVA marine gensets as a total package especially designed by Cummins India for four vessels required by the Government of India for transportation between Cochin and Lakshadweep port against stiff global competition.
